Hi, have you thought of installing the attachment mod for phpBB? It would enable your forum members to upload their free scripts directly to the forums for others to download!

actually had intention for implementing it after forum becomes busier..
but indeed good idea...
just have to set a limit to the file size...
any prefers from u guys?

There's always the risk that some idiot will use this facility to distribute viruses etc., but there's also a mod for phpBB that allows you to charge for memberships to certain groups. Perhaps if you made a small charge, say $1 per month, for membership to a group that can upload files, then at least you know they would have a valid Paypal account, which may go some way to alleviating this problem.

I personally use Simple Machines Forum script for my members, as their addons can be installed automatically, and they also have an attachment facility, and a Paypal subscription addon.

Yes, it seems like it's going to be a good site! Have you heard of phpBB Fully Modded? It has just about every mod for phpBB installed, and you can upgrade from your normal phpBB so you don't lose any posts. I've just installed it, but I seem to have hit on a bit of a bug during registration. If you want to check it out, you can use the following link:
